Neighborhood Organizing

Community is at the heart of our work, so we understand the power that a community can have when it comes together. Community members know and trust each other and can collaborate to have more information and power together than they ever could apart. Plus, we know that young people tend to live near each other and form their own communities in specific areas or neighborhoods. Our neighborhood organizing program is based on the fact that young people and communities know the issues facing them best, and sometimes the most powerful thing that can be done to find a solution is to connect people, let them brainstorm, and support them with the information and resources that they need to grow. Our role is to build bridges and support existing ones within and across communities to create substantive change. We organize regular community events and meetings in Twin Cities neighborhoods, including Cedar-Riverside, Como, Phillips, South Uptown, Whittier, and more!
